When it comes to dining, the Thirsty Pony, serves up a variety. From steaks, pastas & perch to Frickers World Famous Chicken Wings, gourmet pizzas & burgers bursting with flavor, you’ll find what you’re hungry for. And when the bill is paid, there will be plenty left in your budget to play the ponies in Cedar Downs or strike up a good time in Cedar Lanes.
Burgers are hand-packed & never frozen; jumbo chicken wings are smothered in any of our 17 world famous Frickin’ wing sauces; pizzas are baked in a brick oven & topped with mounds of mozzarella cheese & unlimited fresh toppings; & beer is cold & pouring with 15 craft & micro brews on tap.
And It’s all served with a side of excitement at Ohio’s Premier off track betting theater, Cedar Downs, where you can watch and wager on live simulcast horse racing.

A Review From a Pony Fan!
When someone mentions the Thirsty Pony to me, I don’t just think of great drinks, an attached bowling alley or horse racing.
The atmosphere is casual and inviting and the staff make us feel like they’ve known us for years. Although the Pony is a hot spot for horse racing and late-night gatherings, it’s also a great family-friendly restaurant.
Appetizers like Traditional Onion Rings, Hand-cut French Fries, Mozzaluna (a jazzed up version of mozzarella sticks) with marinara, Homemade Potato Chips, Sweet Potato Fries with a sweet brown sugar dipping sauce, Lobster Bisque and Frickin’ Chicken Wings are just the beginning.
Entrees include perch, walleye, shrimp, sirloin, ribs, salads, wraps and a selection of Gourmet Burgers like the Goopy Cheeseburger, the M&M Burger, the Chili Cheeseburger and the Cluck-Cluck Burger. Create Your Own Pizzas are anything but traditional. The Thirsty Pony even has a Little Pony children’s menu for the kids.
Afterwards, you can follow up with a game of bowling and laser tag at Cedar Lanes.
